Optometrist
Dr. Rishi Shah’s higher education began at Nova Southeastern University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After developing a passion for optometry during his undergraduate studies, he went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry. Since graduating Dr. Shah has practiced at various locations around South Florida and parts of Northern Virginia.
He was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and also has roots in Nepal where his parents are from. He speaks English, Spanish, and Nepali and grew up with a family of Optometrists.
Over the years being exposed to optometry, Dr. Shah has developed a special interest towards several areas in optometry such as ocular disease, pediatric care, restoration of vision and comfort lost as a result of refractive eye surgery, keratoconus, corneal transplant surgery, and several other corneal conditions through the use of specialty contact lenses.
For fun Dr. Shah loves to cook, enjoys photography, plays with his Belgium Malinois Kai, and occasionally rock climbs and camps with friends, although he’s not a huge fan of bugs! He loves to exercise and try different workouts such as yoga and crossfit.
